Meet the Regional Coordinator, Angela Ifonlaja for Ireland (Northern)
Based in Northern Ireland, Angela is a seasoned Worship Leader, Songwriter and Choir Director with a reputation for being able to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds. Ministry has taken her to countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the U.S. She wears several hats, including being a lawyer by profession and co-pastor of a thriving multi-national church alongside her husband. She also leads a community-based project providing free supplemental education for children as well as musical instrument lessons for children who may otherwise not be able to access them.
Before moving to Northern Ireland, she trained and directed the London-based NXGN Choir, the youth mass choir of the RCCG, the church body to which she belongs. She has continued to train and direct church and community choirs in different capacities, including teaching gospel singing classes in the community for people new to the genre.
She has a desire to help people develop their passion for music ministry and she is keen to encourage collaborations across various lines. She works with local bands, choirs, and artists, coordinating cross-community and cross-denominational music events, both in church settings and in the community.
